The Unit Secretary in the Emergency Department provides essential clerical support to facilitate patient care.
Responsibilities include greeting visitors, answering calls, assisting physicians, transcribing orders, maintaining patient charts, and notifying physician offices of admissions or transfers.
They ensure compliance with policies, maintain supplies, keep the nursing station organized, and support unit personnel orientation.
Qualifications include a high school diploma or equivalent, BLS certification, at least one year of clerical experience, strong communication skills, computer literacy, and physical acuity.
The work schedule is from 7AM to 5PM, full-time.
Other duties may be assigned as needed.
