A premier oil & gas refinery is searching for an Unit Operator to join their team. As an Unit Operator you will be a key member of the operations team responsible for overseeing the safe and efficient operation of processing units within the facility. You will leverage your extensive experience and expertise to ensure the smooth execution of production processes, adherence to operational standards, and achievement of production targets.

Key Responsibilities:

- Lead and coordinate the operation of assigned processing units, including distillation columns, reactors, separators, and other equipment.
- Monitor process parameters, equipment performance, and product quality to optimize production efficiency and maximize throughput.
- Interpret and revise AutoCAD drawings for use in the field.
- Ensure compliance with safety procedures, environmental regulations, and company policies to maintain a safe working environment for yourself and your colleagues.
- Conduct regular safety inspections, hazard assessments, and incident investigations. Implement corrective actions to mitigate risks and prevent accidents.
- Identify opportunities for process improvements, cost savings, and energy efficiency enhancements within the unit operations.
- Collaborate with engineering and maintenance teams to implement modifications, upgrades, or troubleshooting solutions to optimize process performance.
- Diagnose and resolve equipment malfunctions, process upsets, and operational issues in a timely manner.
- Coordinate with maintenance technicians and contractors to schedule and execute preventive maintenance activities, equipment repairs, and turnaround activities as needed.
- Collect and analyze operational data, performance metrics, and production trends to track unit performance and identify areas for improvement.
- Prepare regular reports, shift logs, and production summaries for management review.
- Respond promptly to emergencies, alarms, and abnormal operating conditions.
- Implement emergency shutdown procedures, containment measures, and evacuation protocols as necessary to safeguard personnel, equipment, and the environment.



Qualifications:

- Experience in continuous process(24/7) facility
- Proficiency in operating and troubleshooting equipment such as boilers, blowers, air compressors, and hydrogen compressors.
- Working knowledge of process control systems, distributed control systems (DCS), and safety instrumented systems (SIS).
- Familiarity with safety regulations, environmental compliance standards, and industry best practices.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work with cross-functional teams.
- Demonstrated ability to prioritize tasks, manage competing priorities, and make sound decisions under pressure.
- Relevant certifications (e.g., Process Operator Certification, HAZOP Training) are a plus.
