• Create original cataloging and metadata in OCLC, Alma/Primo, and digital repositories.
• Copy catalogs, edits metadata, imports metadata, and curates metadata in the libraries'' Alma/Primo Discovery system.
• Maintains library collection holdings.
• Monitors and manages all CZ Alma/Primo updates and all library personnel maintaining bibliographic record updates.
• Answers library reference questions, assists library patrons, and performs literature searches.
• Teaches courses (both credit and non-credit), conducts orientations, provides on-demand instructional sessions, designs instructional modules, and teaches seminars for faculty, residents, community members, and students.
• Advises and provides feedback related to departmental goals, policies, and procedures.
• Remains current with all licensure, certifications and mandatory compliances and trainings required of this position.
• Personally, and consistently, demonstrate, display and act in accordance with Texas Tech Health El Paso's Values (Service, Respect, Accountability, Integrity, Advancement, and Teamwork). Serve as a Value''s leader while actively promoting and encouraging staff across the institution.
• Adhere to all policies, procedures and practices (Regents Rules, TTUS, HSECEP OPs, etc.).

• 13 years of experience working in an academic health sciences library or a Master''s degree in Library/Information Sciences from an ALA-accredited institution and at least one year of experience working full-time in a health sciences library environment, and three years of experience working in an academic library''s bibliographic management department.
• Please note that work in a school or public library should never be considered to be equivalent to work in an academic health science library, because the other library environments are not 95% digital libraries.
• Bilingual English/Spanish.
• AHIP certification preferred, but not required.
• Demonstrable experience using a major ILS/LMS, including experience teaching the system to others. Demonstrable teaching skills. Primo VE Administration Certification or ability to attain certification.
