Job Summary

Our front line Custodial Team members provide a benefit to our customers by maintaining an atmosphere that supports the ultimate patient care experience. The primary function of an Environmental Services team member is to properly sanitize and disinfect. These functions are critical to ensure successful prevention of infectious disease. Successful candidates will safely come in contact with bodily fluids and hazardous waste utilizing personal protection equipment.

Work Schedule
This position may require working day shift, afternoon shift, midnight shift, weekends, and holidays.
Background Screening
Michigan Medicine conducts background screening and pre-employment drug testing on job candidates upon acceptance of a contingent job offer and may use a third party administrator to conduct background screenings. Background screenings are performed in compliance with the Fair Credit Report Act. Pre-employment drug testing applies to all selected candidates, including new or additional faculty and staff appointments, as well as transfers from other U-M campuses.
