Underground Utilities Heavy Equipment Operator

Role snapshot

• Compensation: $20–$23/hour, DOE
• Schedule: Monday–Friday, 7:00 AM–5:00 PM

What you’ll build

From precise utility trenches to clean backfills and graded pads, you’ll execute earthwork that keeps projects on track and people safe.

Tools you’ll command

• Backhoe
• Excavators & Mini Excavators
• Skid Steers
• Trenchers

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years operating heavy equipment
• Experience in construction/dirt work
• Demonstrated knowledge of safe excavation and trenching practices
• CDL-A preferred, not mandatory

Environment & safety

Work is outdoors in varying weather. You’ll frequently dig and trench near underground utilities and are expected to apply strict safe-digging standards throughout each task.
