Become an Underground Civil Construction Manager at Southern California Edison (SCE) and build a better tomorrow. In this job, youll manage underground civil construction activities and personnel in the North Coast Region and will report directly to the Senior Manager of Underground Civil Construction in Construction Support.

Responsibilities

• Manages the implementation of energy program requirements and delivers tangible reliability and cost-saving results for the company. • Manages and tracks budget utilization to ensure efficient and effective use of resources and budgets. • Manages the development, maintenance, and documentation of model input data and assumptions to ensure consistent use of data. • Collaborates with internal and external stakeholders to support the development of policies and guidelines that enable broader strategies and objectives. • Identifies opportunities for improved analyses of data while prioritizing developing and implementing improvements, including automated tools for monitoring and reporting operations data. • Manages employee performance and establishes performance expectations and goals aligned with company objectives, policies, and procedures. • Provides leadership to teams responsible for the planning, scheduling, and closing of programs. • Oversees contractor performance to ensure budget, schedule, and quality performance objectives are met. • Contributes and influences the appropriate management of a $500M budget through oversight of contractor performance in the areas of safety, compliance, customer satisfaction, financial quality improvement, and schedule adherence. • Develops and manages resource strategy to ensure both short-term and long-term success of the program. • Manages contractor performance and develops and implements action plans and corrective actions to ensure goals and targets are achieved. • Leads the development of business requirements, testing, and implementation of new technologies accordingly to the program.

Material Job Duties

A material job duty of all positions within the Company is ensuring the protection of all its physical, financial, and cybersecurity assets and properly accessing and managing private customer data, proprietary information, confidential medical records, and other types of highly sensitive information and data with the highest standards of conduct and integrity.

Minimum Qualifications

• Five or more years of combined experience performing or supervising energy delivery. • Experience in preventing electrical service interruptions. • Possess a valid Class C Drivers License.

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelors degree in Engineering, Business, Construction Management, or a related field. • Experience managing or planning underground civil construction activities, including oversight of specifications and compliance requirements. • Experience managing multiple high-volume construction-related projects. • Experience using Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. • Experience effectively interfacing and collaborating with employees and all levels of management to develop solutions and build stakeholder consensus. • Ability to integrate work across relevant areas, develop the business and services to enhance customer satisfaction and efficiency, manage risks effectively, implement business plans, manage information, and provide exceptional service to internal and external customers.

Additional Information

This positions work mode is on-site. The employee will report to an SCE facility or in the field location. Further details of this work mode will be discussed at the interview stage. The work mode can be changed based on business needs.
