The School of Nursing at Old Dominion University invites qualified candidates to apply for a full-time non-tenure-track nursing faculty position in the undergraduate nursing program. We are expanding enrollment and increasing faculty. We are searching for a faculty member who will share and contribute to our mission to transform healthcare by preparing exceptional nurses, extending nursing science, and partnering with our global community.

The start date for the 12-month position will be April 25, 2026.

Faculty Responsibilities ------------------------

• Didactic and clinical instruction in pre-licensure BSN students
• Online instruction for post-licensure BSN students
• Additional teaching responsibility for lab and clinical courses

Salary and appointment rank are competitive and commensurate with experience.

Minimum Qualifications ----------------------

• Experience teaching in a baccalaureate nursing program is preferred.
• Clinical focus in adult health is preferred.
• Classroom experience and familiarity with online/web-enhanced formats and simulation are desirable.
• Professional certification in a specialty area is ideal.
• Current enrollment in or completion of DNP or PhD degree is ideal.
