Job Summary/Basic Functions

Under the supervision of the Associate Dean for Undergraduate Medical Education (UME) and the Manager of Undergraduate Medical Education, the incumbent will provide administrative and operational support to the Office of UME and assist the Directors of Clinical Sciences and Basic Sciences Curriculum as needed to deliver the medical curriculum.

The medical education program prepares students to become physicians who consistently display attributes befitting to the profession of medicine and who engage in continuous learning for the benefit of their patients. Our students are dedicated and enthusiastic learners who are guided through their educational program by devoted, knowledgeable, and engaged faculty members.

This role provides comprehensive administrative and technical support for Level 1 medical education courses and longitudinal honors tracks, ensuring smooth delivery of curriculum, assessments, and student learning activities. Key responsibilities include managing Moodle course sites and gradebooks, coordinating exams and proctoring, maintaining attendance and grading records in PeopleSoft, and supporting lecture technology and Mediasite recordings. The position serves as a central liaison between faculty, students, and administrative offices such as the Registrar, Student Affairs, IT/AV, and the Dean's Office to ensure accurate scheduling, credentialing, and academic compliance. It also supports curriculum development, evaluation processes, accreditation-related tasks, and ongoing operational needs such as course setup, room scheduling, and materials coordination. Through these functions, the role helps maintain the integrity, organization, and efficiency of the medical school's undergraduate medical education programs.
