Pay Rate: $58 - $61 Per Hour
Summary:
- Schedule Notes: Saturdays 8-4pm, Sundays 8-4
Responsibilities:
- Prepare and examine all patients for ultrasound examinations in accordance with established departmental procedures and techniques.
- Operate and adjust ultrasound equipment, ensuring safety precautions are taken to protect patients and personnel.
- Set up, operate, clean, and make minor adjustments to ultrasound equipment.
- Ensure adequate supplies are available for use.
- Assist in the orientation and mentorship of new Ultrasound personnel.
- Capture images onto PACS and transfer to physicians' work stations.
- Answer telephones, schedule examinations, and may initiate transportation.
- Perform other duties as required.
Requirements:
- Registered by the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers (ARDMS).
- 2 years of experience as an Ultrasound Technologist.
- Associates Degree in Diagnostic Medical Technology or a High School/G.E.D. with successful completion of an accredited Ultrasound/Sonography technical training program.
- ARDMS - Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer (RDMS).
- BLS certification.
Preferred Skills:
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
- Knowledge of office and administrative practices.
- Skill in the use of personal computers and software.
- Ability to problem solve and make decisions.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills.
