Job Summary

This is a Maternal Fetal Medicine ultrasound travel/contract assignment serving a high-risk pregnancy clinic. The average daily census is 5 8 scans per day. Patient age group includes adolescents and adults. Patient diagnoses include high-risk pregnancy presentations such as Fetal Echo, AMA, TVCL, Growth, Anatomy, Level II, and BPP.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform ultrasound imaging in a high-risk OB/Maternal Fetal Medicine clinic setting averaging 5 8 scans per day
  • Conduct OB/GYN scanning across 1st 3rd trimester, including amniotic fluid index, fetal anatomical survey, fetal echo, inter/intra-orbital measurements, multiple pregnancy, nuchal translucency screen, placenta previa, and umbilical cord Doppler
  • Perform fetal imaging including abdomen, abdominal circumference, bone lengths, cerebellum, ventricles, diaphragm, duodenal atresia/intussusception, fingers/toes, gender, head, and heart
  • Operate GE Voluson E10 ultrasound equipment
  • Document and manage imaging within Epic and Viewpoint unit systems
  • Support special procedures including amniocentesis and CVS as required per unit needs

Required Skills

  • High Risk OB, Maternal Fetal Medicine, and Obstetrics work setting experience required
  • Proficiency with GE Voluson E10 equipment required
  • Fetal scanning skills required: Abdomen, Abdominal Circumference, Bone lengths, Cerebellum, Ventricles, Diaphragm, Duodenal Atresia/Intussusception, Fingers/Toes, Gender, Head & Heart
  • OB/GYN scanning skills required: 1st 3rd Trimester, Amniotic fluid index, Fetal Anatomical Survey, Fetal Echo, Inter/Intra-Orbital Measurements, Multiple pregnancy, Nuchal Translucency Screen, Placenta Previa & Umbilical Cord Doppler

Preferred Skills

  • Amniocentesis procedure skills
  • Experience with PACS

Education Requirements

  • ARDMS (OB) with Fetal Echocardiography (FE) certification required

Required Experience

  • Minimum 2 years of experience required
  • First-time travelers accepted

Work Environment / Physical Requirements

  • Scheduling Type: 8-Hour Days; no call requirement, no float requirement, no weekend requirement
  • Flu vaccination required (medical/religious exemptions only)
  • Scrubs not provided; black scrubs required
  • Locals accepted

Important Notes

  • RTO after booking is NOT allowed and is NOT allowed to be worked out onsite. Any call-offs or additional RTO on unit could possibly result in a cancel and DNR.
  • RTO: 7 days max for AYA Auto Offer
  • The expected start date is based on the facility's schedule but is subject to change depending on class and trainer availability. Travelers may start on Wednesday, Thursday, or Friday of the first week, and must be fully available with no other commitments to accommodate any schedule changes. Missing any portion of orientation may result in a delayed or canceled start.
  • The facility will confirm the final start date on the Tuesday prior to the start week.
  • Unit orientation: Per clinic needs
