Job Title: Ultrasound Technologist – General

Location: Missoula, MT
Duration: 13 Weeks (Possible Extension)
Shift: Day Shift | 4x10 Hours (7:00 AM – 5:00 PM)

Compensation

  • Travel Pay: $2,000 – $2,450 Weekly (Based on Experience)

Position Overview

A healthcare facility in is seeking an experienced Ultrasound Technologist to join its diagnostic imaging team on a travel assignment. The ideal candidate will be responsible for performing high-quality ultrasound procedures while delivering exceptional patient care and collaborating with multidisciplinary healthcare professionals.

Responsibilities

  • Perform diagnostic ultrasound examinations in accordance with physician orders and established departmental protocols.
  • Produce high-quality imaging studies to support accurate diagnosis and treatment planning.
  • Provide compassionate, patient-centered care while ensuring patient comfort and safety throughout procedures.
  • Collaborate effectively with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare team members regarding patient care and imaging results.
  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation within the electronic medical record system.
  • Adhere to facility policies, regulatory standards, and imaging best practices.
  • Float between units or departments as needed to support patient care operations.
  • Participate in on-call coverage and occasional weekend shifts as required.
  • Maintain ultrasound equipment and report any operational concerns appropriately.
  • Ensure compliance with infection control, patient privacy, and safety standards.

Required Qualifications

Education

  • Graduate of an accredited Diagnostic Medical Sonography or Ultrasound Technology program.

Certifications & Licensure

  • ARDMS (American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography) Certification – Required
  • Current BLS Certification – Required

Experience & Skills

  • Recent experience performing diagnostic ultrasound examinations.
  • Strong knowledge of ultrasound imaging procedures and patient care practices.
  • Experience working in a fast-paced healthcare environment preferred.
  • Familiarity with Epic EMR or similar electronic medical record systems preferred.
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
  • Flexibility to float between units and participate in on-call responsibilities.
