POSITION DETAILS
• Job Title: Ultrasound Technician

• Schedule: Varies
• Reports To: Director of Imaging Services
• Work Location: Simpson General Hospital

POSITION SUMMARY
Responsible for using ultrasound equipment to help visualize internal anatomy and functions while delivering high-quality patient care.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
• Perform ultrasound examinations using sonographic equipment
• Identify and observe areas of concern and report urgent abnormalities promptly
• Send images to PACS for Radiologist interpretation
• Document patient information accurately and timely in patient charts
• Maintain sonography equipment and report equipment issues
• Manage multiple patients and priorities efficiently
• Work independently while collaborating effectively with physicians and team members
• Adhere to all hospital and departmental policies and procedures
• Participate in required in-service education and training programs

QUALIFICATIONS
• Registered with the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers (ARDMS) required
• Associate Degree in Diagnostic Medical Sonography or related field required
• Bachelor's Degree preferred
• One (1) year of acute care sonography experience preferred
