What Youll Do
- Verify physician orders and ensure procedural accuracy
- Explain ultrasound procedures to patients to promote understanding
- Operate ultrasound equipment independently per established protocols
- Assist radiologists with guided procedures in various clinical settings
- Review imaging quality prior to transmission, ensuring diagnostic standards
- Perform routine quality control and regulatory compliance procedures
- Maintain departmental operations, including inventory and equipment upkeep
- Adapt communication and approach based on patient needs and privacy considerations
- Stay informed of current legal, safety, and industry standards
What You Need
Required:
- Completion of a CAHEA-approved diagnostic medical sonography training program
- 2+ years of sonographer experience, including Maternal Fetal Medicine
- Current ARDMS certification in Abdomen and OB-Gyn ultrasound or Cardiac Sonography
- BLS certification from the American Heart Association
- Proficiency with medical imaging equipment and software
- Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays
Preferred:
- Registered Vascular Technologist (RVT) certification within two years of hire
- Experience with guided procedures and detailed anatomy knowledge
