What You’ll Do
  • Verify physician orders and ensure procedural accuracy
  • Explain ultrasound procedures to patients to promote understanding
  • Operate ultrasound equipment independently per established protocols
  • Assist radiologists with guided procedures in various clinical settings
  • Review imaging quality prior to transmission, ensuring diagnostic standards
  • Perform routine quality control and regulatory compliance procedures
  • Maintain departmental operations, including inventory and equipment upkeep
  • Adapt communication and approach based on patient needs and privacy considerations
  • Stay informed of current legal, safety, and industry standards
What You Need
Required:
  • Completion of a CAHEA-approved diagnostic medical sonography training program
  • 2+ years of sonographer experience, including Maternal Fetal Medicine
  • Current ARDMS certification in Abdomen and OB-Gyn ultrasound or Cardiac Sonography
  • BLS certification from the American Heart Association
  • Proficiency with medical imaging equipment and software
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays

Preferred:
  • Registered Vascular Technologist (RVT) certification within two years of hire
  • Experience with guided procedures and detailed anatomy knowledge
