    Product Owner Time Management & Workforce Policies (UKG)
    Onsite 4 days a week - Location is close to Spring, TX

    Position Summary

    The Product Owner Time Management & Workforce Policies is responsible for driving the strategy, design, implementation, and continuous improvement of time management processes within the UKG platform. This role serves as the primary liaison between HR, Operations, Legal, Payroll, and Technology teams to ensure workforce management policies, attendance programs, and timekeeping processes are effectively translated into scalable operational solutions.

    The ideal candidate combines strong functional expertise in UKG Workforce Management with project leadership, business process design, and change management capabilities. While not a hands-on technical configuration role, this individual must possess sufficient system knowledge to define requirements, prioritize enhancements, and partner effectively with technical resources to deliver solutions.

    Key Responsibilities

    Product Ownership & Strategy

    • Serve as the Product Owner for UKG Time Management and Workforce Management capabilities.
    • Develop and maintain the product roadmap for attendance, timekeeping, scheduling, accruals, and related workforce management processes.
    • Prioritize initiatives based on business value, compliance requirements, operational efficiency, and employee experience.
    • Act as the primary business owner for time management enhancements and projects.

    Business Process & Policy Design

    • Partner with HR Business Partners, Operations, Payroll, and Legal teams to define attendance, timekeeping, and workforce management policies.
    • Translate business requirements into clear operational procedures and system requirements.
    • Lead the evaluation and redesign of timekeeping and attendance processes to improve consistency, compliance, and operational effectiveness.
    • Ensure policies are scalable, auditable, and aligned with federal, state, provincial, and local regulations.

    Requirements Management

    • Facilitate workshops and discovery sessions with stakeholders to gather and document requirements.
    • Create business requirements, user stories, process flows, acceptance criteria, and functional specifications.
    • Collaborate closely with technical leads, system administrators, and implementation partners to ensure solutions meet business needs.
    • Validate proposed solutions and provide functional guidance throughout the project lifecycle.

    Project Leadership & Change Management

    • Lead workforce management initiatives from concept through deployment.
    • Develop project plans, stakeholder communication strategies, and adoption plans.
    • Coordinate testing activities including UAT planning, execution, and sign-off.
    • Drive organizational readiness and support change management activities to ensure successful adoption.

    Governance & Continuous Improvement

    • Establish governance processes for time management enhancements and policy changes.
    • Monitor system performance, compliance risks, and operational effectiveness.
    • Identify opportunities to simplify processes, reduce manual effort, and improve employee and manager experience.
    • Maintain documentation for policies, procedures, business requirements, and system functionality.

    Required Qualifications

    • Bachelor s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Information Systems, or related field.
    • 5+ years of experience supporting workforce management, timekeeping, attendance, or HR technology programs.
    • 3+ years of experience working with UKG Workforce Management solutions.
    • Strong understanding of attendance management, timekeeping, accruals, scheduling, labor compliance, and payroll impacts.
    • Experience gathering business requirements and translating them into functional system solutions.
    • Demonstrated success leading cross-functional projects involving HR, Operations, Payroll, Legal, and Technology teams.
    • Strong project management, facilitation, and stakeholder management skills.
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

    Preferred Qualifications

    • Experience serving as a Product Owner, Business Lead, Functional Lead, or Workforce Management Lead.
    • Experience implementing or enhancing UKG Workforce Management solutions.
    • Knowledge of labor laws, wage and hour regulations, attendance policies, and workforce compliance requirements.
    • Experience with change management and organizational adoption initiatives.
    • Agile, Scrum, PMP, or related certifications are a plus.
