Local Petroleum Company looking for a dayshift dispatcher for its Transportation Division.
Key Tasks and Responsibilities:
· Take customer orders by phone and email
· Resolve customer concerns or problems quickly and professionally
· Dispatch deliveries using the most efficient, cost effective, safe and compliant manner
· Manage driver issues including allocation problems, breakdowns and other items promptly
· Manage Bulk Petroleum inventories at the bulk plants and cardlock locations
· Assist management of customer inventories to determine when to send auto fills
· Resolve customer concerns or problems quickly and professionally
· Keep current with driver safety, equipment safety and hazmat regulations
· Other duties as assigned
Requirements:
· Superior customer service skills
· Ability to work independently
· Great attention to detail and accuracy while meeting stringent deadlines
· Ability to work in a fast paced, detail oriented environment handling multiple projects simultaneously while remaining calm and patient
· Excellent phone skills providing services, support or information
· Assuring compliance with laws and company policies and regulations
· Minimum 2 years of trucking and dispatching responsibility
· Superior customer service skills
· Ability to work independently
· Ability to work in a fast paced, detail-oriented environment handling multiple projects with stringent deadlines simultaneously while remaining calm and patient
· Excellent phone skills providing services, support or information
· Thorough knowledge of various business software applications
· Assuring compliance with laws and company policies and regulations
Schedule/Hours:
· Dayshift – Tuesday through Friday - 8AM-5PM (on call starting at 5AM), Saturdays - 24-hour coverage (5AM Sat - 5AM Sun)
· Holiday rotation with other dispatchers
· Cross-train to cover for other dispatchers as needed
Compensation based on experience
