The Department of Communication Sciences and Disorders at Syracuse University invites applications for a full-time, tenure-track Assistant Professor position in Speech-Language Pathology, beginning with the 2026\u20132027 academic year.
This is a full-time, 8.5-month tenure-track appointment at the Assistant Professor level in a vibrant, research-oriented academic program offering BS, MS, accelerated BS/MS, AuD, AuD/PhD, and PhD degrees.
The successful candidate will be expected to:
- Establish and sustain a nationally recognized program of research
- Pursue external funding to support scholarly activities
- Teach undergraduate and graduate courses in speech-language pathology and related areas
- Mentor student research projects and advise students academically
- Contribute to departmental, college, and university service
Compensation is nationally competitive, and the position carries full eligibility for tenure and promotion.
Qualifications
- PhD in Speech-Language Pathology or a related discipline (required).
Job Specific Qualifications
- CCC-SLP and/or clinically relevant experience (desirable, not required)
- Evidence of research productivity and the potential to build a nationally recognized program
- Demonstrated ability to teach undergraduate and graduate courses in speech-language pathology and related areas
Candidates with prior university teaching experience and an emerging record of scholarship consistent with the assistant professor level are encouraged to apply.
