Note: We are seeking candidates with 3+ years of paralegal experience. Trust administration or probate experience is strongly preferred but not required.

Job Description

  • Guide clients through trust and estate administration with professionalism and empathy.
  • Prepare probate filings, affidavits, deeds, trust allocations, and estate administration documents.
  • Assist with federal and state tax filings and related estate documentation.
  • Coordinate asset valuations and organize financial information.
  • Track deadlines and proactively manage case progress from opening through completion.
  • Maintain accurate case records and database updates.
  • Communicate regularly with clients, beneficiaries, financial institutions, and third parties.
  • Coordinate document execution, witnesses, and notary services.
  • Prepare status reports for attorneys and participate in team meetings.
  • Identify opportunities to provide additional estate planning services to clients and families.
  • Support attorneys with administrative and legal projects as needed.

Qualifications

  • 3+ years of paralegal experience required.
  • Trust administration or probate experience preferred.
  • Excellent organizational, proofreading, and communication skills.
  • Strong Microsoft Office skills, including Word and Excel.
  • Ability to manage multiple deadlines independently.
  • Professional, compassionate, and client-focused approach.
  • Familiarity with investments, assets, or tax-related matters is a plus.
  • Connecticut Notary (or ability to obtain) preferred.
