Description

SS Grading Landscape & Excavation is currently seeking a dedicated Truck Driver to join our team in the Greater Richmond Metro Area, Virginia. As a key member of our team, you will play a crucial role in supporting our residential and commercial projects by transporting materials and equipment to and from job sites in a safe and efficient manner.

Job Responsibilities

  • Safely operate and drive pickup trucks to transport construction materials and equipment to designated locations.
  • Adhere to all traffic laws and regulations while operating the vehicle on public roads.
  • Perform routine checks on the vehicle before and after each trip to ensure its proper maintenance.
  • Load and unload materials using appropriate equipment and techniques.
  • Communicate effectively with site supervisors and team members to coordinate delivery schedules.
  • Complete electronic records to document completed work, deliveries, including quantities transported and locations.

Qualifications

  • CDL required
  • Experience in regional lane driving and route driving to ensure timely deliveries.
  • Proficiency in operating heavy equipment and familiarity with manual transmission vehicles.
  • Ability to perform basic automotive repairs if needed during transportation.
  • Prior experience as a delivery driver, especially with tractor-trailers, is advantageous.
  • Strong understanding of freight handling procedures to secure loads properly.
