Position Overview
Walker White Mechanical is seeking a reliable Truck Driver to support daily operations by transporting materials, equipment, and supplies to job sites throughout the Columbia area and surrounding regions. A valid CDL (Class A or B) is preferred, but strong candidates without a CDL may be considered.
Key Responsibilities
Safely operate company trucks to deliver and pick up materials, tools, and equipment
Load and unload items using proper lifting techniques and safety procedures
Maintain accurate delivery logs and documentation
Conduct routine vehicle inspections and report maintenance needs
Assist warehouse or field teams as needed
Follow all DOT regulations, company policies, and job-site safety standards
Represent Walker White Mechanical with professionalism and excellent customer service
Qualifications
Valid driver's license required; CDL (Class A or B) strongly preferred
Clean driving record with the ability to pass MVR and background checks
Previous experience operating flatbeds, box trucks, or similar vehicles a plus
Ability to lift 50+ lbs and work in warehouse or job‑site conditions
Strong work ethic, reliability, and attention to detail
Knowledge of construction materials or mechanical/HVAC parts is a plus (not required)
