STARTING HOURLY RATE: $18.59 - $19.44 (PLACEMENT DEPENDS ON SIMILAR EXPERIENCE HELD AND EDUCATION)

SUMMARY:

The Truck Driver/Base Kitchen delivers cooked meals from the Base Kitchen to receiving sites; maintains and services delivery trucks.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

  • Drives prepackaged and prepared meals from the base kitchen to receiving sites.
  • Assists with serving breakfast and/or lunch at designated sites.
  • Maintains and cleans delivery trucks and other assigned vehicles; performs regular safety checks.
  • Cleans kitchen, service, and snack bar areas and fryer machine.
  • Picks up produce and other stock at warehouse.
  • Supports the relationship between the Phoenix Union High School District and the public by demonstrating courteous and professional behavior when interacting with students, parents, visitors, and school staff; maintains absolute confidentiality of work-related issues, client records, and school information; follows Governing Board Policies; performs all other related duties as required or assigned.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

Education, Training, and Experience Guidelines:

High School diploma or GED equivalent; AND six months of previous truck driving experience; OR an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.

License and Certification Requirements:

A valid Arizona State Driver's License is required.

Must possess a valid Maricopa County Food Handler's Card.

Possess an Active Arizona Department of Public Safety IVP Fingerprint Clearance Card or obtain one within the first 90 workdays of employment.

  • Skill safely operating trucks and other vehicles.
  • Ability to learn warehouse delivery procedures.
