Tree Care Crew Leader
We are looking for a motivated and experienced Tree Care Crew Leader to lead a team in delivering high-quality tree care services. Ideal candidates will bring strong leadership skills along with hands-on knowledge of tree pruning, removals, installation, and plant health care.
In this role, you will lead by example in the field, ensuring work is completed safely and efficiently. You will use arborist equipment to improve the appearance, health, and overall value of the trees on our clients'' properties. This position transitions into snow removal operations during the winter months.

Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage a tree care crew to complete daily work safely and efficiently
- Ensure all work meets company quality standards and client expectations
- Perform and oversee tree pruning, removals, planting, and basic plant health care services
- Operate and direct the safe use of equipment including chainsaws, pole saws, chippers, stump grinders, skid steers, and related tools
- Communicate clearly with team members, supervisors, and clients as needed
- Train and develop crew members on proper techniques and safety practices
- Maintain organization of tools, equipment, and job sites
- Transition to snow removal operations during winter months
Requirements
- Strong commitment to safety and adherence to company safety policies
- Proven leadership ability with experience managing or guiding a team
- Working knowledge of tree care practices and equipment
- Ability to follow and enforce ANSI A300 standards and ISA Best Practices
- Professional tree care experience preferred; we will train candidates with strong leadership backgrounds in related trades
- Valid U.S. Driver's License required; ability to obtain a Michigan Chauffeur's License within 14 days (CDL preferred - training available)
- Ability to prepare, operate, and perform basic maintenance on tools and equipment
- Strong work ethic and reliability
- Ability to receive and apply performance feedback
