Treatment Coordinator (Front Desk – Medicaid Side)

Dental Associates of North Alabama – Decatur & Children’s is a well-established practice that has proudly served the community for over 20 years. We are currently seeking a Treatment Coordinator to join our team in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.

This position is based on our Medicaid side/front desk, which is extremely busy and requires someone who thrives under pressure, stays organized, and provides excellent patient service.

Schedule

  • Monday & Tuesday: 7:00 AM – 4:00 PM (1-hour lunch)
  • Wednesday, Thursday, Friday: 7:00 AM – 3:00 PM

Key Responsibilities

  • Greet and check in/out patients in a professional and friendly manner
  • Schedule and manage high-volume patient appointments
  • Present treatment plans and explain financial responsibilities
  • Verify insurance eligibility and benefits (Medicaid experience preferred)
  • Answer phones and handle patient inquiries efficiently
  • Collect co-pays, balances, and payments
  • Maintain accurate patient records and documentation
  • Work closely with the clinical team to ensure smooth patient flow

Qualifications

  • Previous dental front desk or treatment coordinator experience required
  • Experience with insurance verification (Medicaid experience is a plus)
  • Dentrix experience preferred
  • Bilingual in Spanish required
  • Strong multitasking and organizational skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-volume environment
  • Positive attitude with a strong focus on patient care
