We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced individual to join our dynamic team as a Permanent Traveling Superintendent. This role is for those who thrive in fast-paced environments and have a passion for the retail and restaurant construction industry. The ideal candidate will have an extensive background in construction, with a particular emphasis on retail and restaurant projects. This position requires a high degree of travel, so flexibility and adaptability are key. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of construction projects from inception to completion, ensuring they are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest standards of quality and safety.

Responsibilities:

1. Supervise and manage field staff, ensuring all tasks are completed accurately, efficiently, and safely.

2. Oversee all aspects of the construction process, from initial planning and foundation work to final inspections and project closeout.

3. Read and interpret blueprints, plans, and other construction documents, ensuring all work is completed in accordance with these documents.

4. Maintain strict quality control standards, conducting regular inspections and ensuring all work meets or exceeds these standards.

5. Manage project budgets, keeping a close eye on expenditures and making necessary adjustments to keep the project within financial boundaries.

6. Ensure all work is completed in compliance with all relevant safety regulations and standards, promoting a culture of safety on the job site.

7. Travel extensively to various job sites, overseeing work and coordinating with local teams.

Qualifications:

1. Minimum of 5 years of experience in a supervisory role in the construction industry, with specific experience in retail and restaurant construction.

2. Proven ability to read and interpret blueprints, plans, and other construction documents.

3. Strong knowledge of construction quality control standards and safety regulations.

4. Excellent leadership and team management skills, with a proven ability to motivate and manage field staff.

5. Strong budget management skills, with a proven ability to manage project finances effectively.

6. Willingness and ability to travel extensively to various job sites.

7. Excellent problem-solving skills, with a knack for finding effective solutions to construction challenges.

8. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to liaise effectively with team members, clients, and other stakeholders.

9. Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.

10. Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field is preferred.
