Job Details

We are seeking a Traveling Electrical Superintendent in the Construction industry. This is an exciting opportunity for a seasoned professional with a strong background in electrical systems within the construction sector, particularly in heavy industrial settings. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing all electrical aspects of our construction projects, ensuring that all work is completed on time, within budget, and adheres to all safety standards and regulations.

The Electrical Superintendent will be responsible for, but not limited to, the following:

1. Overseeing all electrical operations on construction sites, ensuring all work is executed according to project plans and specifications.
2. Supervising, coordinating, and scheduling the activities of construction workers engaged in electrical projects.
3. Ensuring all electrical installations comply with safety and electrical codes.
4. Collaborating with project managers, engineers, and other construction professionals to determine the electrical needs of each project.
5. Coordinating with suppliers and vendors to ensure timely and accurate delivery of electrical materials and equipment.
6. Conducting regular inspections of electrical work on site, identifying any issues or delays, and implementing solutions.
7. Maintaining detailed and accurate records of all electrical work performed on each project, including any changes or adjustments made.
8. Providing leadership and guidance to junior electricians and other construction staff, fostering a positive and productive work environment.
9. Ensuring all electrical work is completed on schedule and within budget, taking corrective action as necessary to address any issues or delays.

Qualifications:

The ideal candidate for the Electrical Superintendent position should possess the following:

1. A minimum of 5 years of experience as a superintendent in the construction industry, with a focus on heavy industrial settings.
2. Proven experience in project execution, with a strong track record of completing electrical projects on time and within budget.
3. Exceptional leadership skills, with the ability to supervise, coordinate, and motivate a team of construction professionals.
4. Comprehensive knowledge of electrical systems, including installation, maintenance, and repair.
5. Familiarity with all relevant safety and electrical codes and regulations.
6. Excellent problem-solving skills, with the ability to quickly and effectively address any issues or delays that may arise.
7. Strong communication skills, with the ability to clearly and effectively communicate with team members, project managers, and other construction professionals.
8. Proficiency in using various tools and equipment used in electrical work.
9. A valid journeyman electrician's electrician's license.
