This includes the owner's satisfaction and knowledge of their product.Position SummaryThe TRAVELING ELECTRICAL AND INSTRUMENTATION AUDITOR is responsible for surveilling and evaluating suppliers to ensure that all delivered equipment complies with the company's quality standards, regulatory requirements, and performance specifications. The role involves travel to perform onsite inspections, document reviews, functional testing, and continuous improvement activities that protect product integrity and maintain supplier accountability.Manage, review and close supplier corrective requestsPrepare and complete audit reports with photos and communicate audit information to cross functional team and supplier in a timely mannerReview suppliers change notifications and determine impact to internal systemsMaintain detailed audit reports and supplier filesInterface with suppliers to ensure product compliance with specification and perform supplier audits as neededDevelop measurement techniques for product release at suppliersProvide support for the manufacturing areas (external)Work with production personnel and supervise to determine and monitor quality metrics, samples plans, and address non-conforming product issuesAssist corrective and preventive action investigations to resolve the root cause of problemsReview incoming supplies and products from vendors to check for defects and ensure qualityMaintain detailed reports on supplier quality, including defect rates and areas that result in flawsServe as a liaison between the organizations' senior management, clients, and vendorsRead work instructions and/or drawings to interpret and confirm production and/or assembly informationWork will be on an as needed basis with no guaranteed hours. Rates will be based on experience and current certifications.
