JOB TITLE: Traveling Construction Safety Manager

LOCATION: Tempe, Arizona — Field-based position requiring up to 50% travel to active job sites
START DATE: August/September 2026
We are seeking an early-career safety professional to oversee day-to-day safety activities across active project sites. This position is well suited for someone with practical field experience who is prepared to work independently, support site teams, and continue developing under the guidance of senior safety leadership.
Responsibilities- Perform routine site inspections to identify hazards, document concerns, and follow corrective actions through resolution.
- Act as the primary safety representative at assigned project sites.
- Intervene when unsafe activity is observed, including stopping work when circumstances require immediate action.
- Lead safety orientations and provide training to field personnel as needed.
- Assist with incident reviews, gather relevant information, and prepare supporting records.
- Partner with project leadership to reinforce established safety practices and address compliance issues.
- Maintain required site records, postings, inspection logs, and related safety materials.
- Track safety activity and performance information using spreadsheets, reports, and presentations.
- Provide general administrative support for ongoing safety operations.
Qualifications- Previous hands-on safety experience in active job-site or field-based environments.
- Current OSHA 30 certification.
- Willingness and ability to travel to project sites for up to 50% of the position.
- Ability to serve independently as the sole on-site safety representative while receiving ongoing leadership support.
- Demonstrated ability to recognize hazards, address unsafe conditions, and apply stop-work procedures appropriately.
- Experience supporting inspections, employee orientations, training, and incident documentation.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Ability to lift up to 30 pounds, regularly navigate multiple flights of stairs, and remain on foot for extended site inspections.
