Travel X-Ray Technologist – Orthopedic (Ambulatory / OR-like Setting)
Location: New York (Miracle Mile)
Pay: $2,400 – $2,700 per week
Contract Length: 13 weeks (option to extend)

Schedule:
Monday – Friday | 7:30 AM – 4:00 PM
No call, no holidays


Position Overview:
We are seeking an experienced X-Ray Technologist to support an orthopedic ambulatory setting with an OR-like environment. This role focuses on spine procedures including injections and ablations, working closely with providers and nursing staff in a procedural setting.


Responsibilities:

  • Perform radiographic procedures independently without direct supervision

  • Prepare rooms, equipment, contrast, and materials for procedures

  • Assist with spine procedures including injections and ablations

  • Position patients and perform imaging to obtain high-quality diagnostic results

  • Educate patients and guide them through procedures

  • Maintain radiation safety standards and proper equipment usage

  • Clean and disinfect rooms and equipment between procedures

  • Utilize HIS, RIS, and PACS systems for documentation and imaging

  • Monitor patients and report any unusual conditions


Requirements:

  • Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technology program

  • ARRT certification (required)

  • Active New York State license (required)

  • Minimum 2 years of X-Ray Technologist experience

  • Strong knowledge of radiographic positioning and procedures

  • Experience working in procedural or OR-like settings preferred

  • C-Arm experience preferred

  • Strong communication and organizational skills


Skills:

  • Knowledge of anatomy and medical terminology

  • Ability to multitask and manage workflow efficiently

  • Strong interpersonal and patient care skills

  • Basic computer proficiency (HIS/RIS/PACS systems)


Work Environment:

  • OR-like procedural setting

  • Close collaboration with physicians and nursing staff

  • Active role requiring standing, walking, and patient assistance throughout shift


Certifications:

  • BLS (required)
