Job Title: Imaging Informaticist Profession: Diagnostic Imaging Specialty: Radiologic Technologist Duration: Full Time Shift: Days Hours per Shift: Guaranteed hours not specified Experience: 3+ years in imaging systems License: American Registry of Radiologic Technologists certified in one or more modalities Certifications: CT Certification preferred; Certified PACS Administrator or Certified Imaging Informatics Professional preferred Must-Have: - Associate's degree in computer science, information management systems, or radiology/imaging - Knowledge of radiology and cardiology workflows in various modalities - Knowledge of DICOM and HL7 standards - Broad computer skill set and specialized knowledge in radiology and IT - Excellent written and verbal communication skills Description: The Imaging Informaticist is responsible for the enterprise-wide management, support, and optimization of the imaging environment across all clinical facilities. This includes management of radiology information systems, picture archiving and communication systems, and related imaging workflow systems. The Imaging Informaticist is responsible for implementation, support, maintenance, and administration of imaging-related systems. They ensure stable, secure, and efficient imaging operations and cross-system integrations. This role includes enterprise-level administration of imaging systems and maintenance of imaging workflows. Responsibilities also involve troubleshooting system support issues and collaborating with various teams for imaging-related maintenance and upgrades. The individual will assist in root cause analysis and development of permanent corrective strategies. The Imaging Informaticist will maintain workflows supporting multiple imaging modalities. Collaboration with IT teams and operations for integrations among various imaging-related systems is essential. The individual will ensure all imaging application systems comply with security standards and relevant policies. Training, documentation, and development of procedures for imaging staff and specialists are key functions of this role. The Imaging Informaticist may participate in on-call rotations and support downtime operations as needed. Participation in additional duties as assigned is expected.
