Job Title: Rad Tech General Imaging Profession: Radiology Technician Specialty: General Imaging Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Shift Hours per Shift: 10 hours Experience: Minimum 2 years of acute or surgical experience License: Required state license Certifications: ARRT certification, BLS certification Must-Have: - Surgical/Procedure experience - General imaging skills - High-level hospital experience Description: Level III Trauma Center with Magnet Designation. The unit has 5 diagnostic beds, 2 fluoro rooms, 1 video swallow room, and a clinic with 2 diagnostic rooms, 3 pain clinic rooms, and 1 dental room. Census averages 15-20 patients per technician per day. Patient types include Inpatient, Outpatient, Emergency Department, and Procedural across all age ranges, with limited pediatric patients. Fluoroscopy procedures include ERCPs, bronchoscopies, pain clinic procedures, and urology cases. Operating Room experience is required for ortho, general cases, and spines; familiarity with O-arm is preferred. Department support includes a lead technician on the first shift and on-site radiologists available 24/7. There are 14 technicians on the day shift, 7 on the second shift, and 3 on the third shift. The hospitalist and intensivist are also available 24/7. Technologies in use include EMR, X-ray equipment from various manufacturers, and PACS. No floating to other departments is required. Weekend rotations occur every other weekend, with one call shift per week. Holiday expectations include one holiday per contract. Scheduling begins M-F with every other weekend worked, including one day off the week leading up to the work weekend and one day off the week following it. The unit's culture is fast-paced with high acuity of patients. Surgical scrubs are provided in-house.
