Job Title: X-Ray Technician Profession: Radiology Specialty: Cardiology Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Day 4x10 Hours per Shift: 10 Experience: 2 years License: New Hampshire License Certifications: ARRT, BLS Must-Have: - Minimum of 2 years of experience required - Unit accepts first-time travelers - Required skills include outpatient, inpatient, operating room, emergency room, adult ICU, PACS, C-Arm, and fluoroscopy studies Description: Daily caseload consists of 100-120 patients. There are 5 rooms available for procedures. The work schedule includes every other weekend, with shifts comprising 2x8 hour shifts and 2x12 hour shifts during the week. One 8 hour shift will occur on the weekend and one on a weekday. Two 12 hour shifts will be scheduled during the week. No call requirement is necessary for this position. There is no floating requirement within the unit. Skills required involve general radiography for inpatient, outpatient, emergency department, fluoroscopy, and operating room cases. Familiarity with Epic and McKesson documentation systems is expected. The role involves working with various types of scans and patient diagnoses including abdomen, extremities, spine, pelvis, head, chest, and musculoskeletal areas. Preparation and administration of contrast media may be required. The candidate should have experience with both adult acute care and outpatient procedures. References are necessary. Background checks will be conducted prior to offer. Drug screening is required within a specified time frame prior to the start of the position. Any vacation requests should be submitted in advance. Travelers must hold a valid New Hampshire state license. Only certifications from recognized organizations will be accepted.
