Description

American Traveler is hiring a Radiology/X-Ray Technologist for a busy metro teaching hospital, requiring 1+ years of experience and ARRT/BLS certification.

Details

  • Acute care teaching hospital with Level 3 trauma designation and 317 staffed beds
  • X-Ray Tech unit performing imaging using DR rooms
  • Varied caseload including portables, ER, and inpatient exams with average 20 cases per day
  • Occasional OR/fluoroscopy work covered by an on-call tech during overnight shifts
  • Work settings include outpatient, inpatient, ER, and adult ICU
  • Night shift schedule, Monday-Friday, 4:00 PM to 12:00 AM (5x8 hours)
  • No weekend requirement and no on-call requirement for this role
  • No floating to sister facilities required
  • Uses PACS, portable imaging equipment, and C-Arm
  • Preferred equipment experience with GE, Siemens, and Philips scanners
  • Epic (Excellian) EMR experience required

Requirements

  • Minimum 1 year of experience in X-Ray/Radiology specialty required
  • ARRT and BLS certification required
  • License required if applicable
  • Pending state license accepted
  • Epic/Excellian charting experience required
  • Experience required in extremities, abdomen/GI, spine/pelvis, head, chest/thorax, musculoskeletal, and surgery/C-Arm procedures
  • Experience with adult acute care, outpatient, ER, ICU, and OR settings required
  • Community hospital experience preferred
  • Proficiency in preparation and/or administration of contrast media preferred
  • Must be able to perform bedside/portable imaging procedures

Additional Information

  • First-time travelers accepted for this position
  • Local candidates accepted with no radius restriction for this radiology position
  • Candidates may float within the hospital or to a nearby affiliate hospital as needed
  • RTO should ideally be no more than 5 days during the assignment
  • Returning staff must have a 3-month gap since last worked as a perm employee (staff or per diem)
  • Blue scrub color required
  • Facility does not provide references to travelers post-assignment or to former perm employees
  • A minimum of one supervisor reference is required for consideration
