Job Title: X-Ray Technician Profession: Radiology / Cardiology Specialty: X-Ray Tech Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Day Hours per Shift: 8 hours Experience: Minimum of 1 year preferred License: Valid California CRT License required Certifications: ARRT R, BLS Must-Have: - Previous charge experience preferred - Experience with community hospital preferred - Travel experience required Description: The X-Ray Technician will be responsible for performing various radiological procedures. The role involves working with patients of all age groups, including neonates, adolescents, infants, adults, pediatrics, and geriatrics. Technicians will ensure patient comfort and safety during procedures. They will also maintain equipment and assist in the collection of patient data as necessary. Skills required include proficiency in various imaging techniques such as abdomen decubitus, chest AP, and emergency department procedures. Technicians may also perform bedside and portable procedures as needed. The position may require floating to nearby facilities as necessary. The ability to adhere to infection prevention and radiation safety protocols is essential. Candidates should be prepared for weekend coverage and additional holiday shifts. Interdisciplinary support services will be available to assist as needed. The technician will be required to complete all necessary modules and training prior to the start date.
