- Weekly Pay:$1900 to $2100
Responsibilities
- Perform high-quality diagnostic X-ray examinations according to physician orders and departmental protocols
- Prepare patients for radiographic procedures by explaining exams, reviewing medical history, and ensuring patient comfort
- Position patients accurately to obtain optimal diagnostic images while minimizing radiation exposure
- Operate digital radiography equipment and ensure high-quality imaging standards
- Evaluate completed images for diagnostic quality before submission to the radiologist
- Follow radiation safety guidelines and ALARA principles to protect patients, staff, and yourself
- Maintain accurate documentation in the electronic medical record (EMR) and Picture Archiving and Communication System (PACS)
- Collaborate with radiologists, physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to coordinate patient care
- Perform routine equipment quality assurance checks and report maintenance issues promptly
- Adhere to infection prevention standards, patient safety protocols, and facility policies
- Provide compassionate, patient-centered care during routine, urgent, and emergency imaging procedures
Requirements
- Active Michigan Radiologic Technologist License (if required by state regulations)
- ARRT Certification in Radiography (R) required
- Minimum 2 years of recent X-Ray Technologist experience
- Current BLS Certification required
- Experience performing diagnostic radiography in an acute care hospital or imaging center
- Strong knowledge of radiographic positioning, anatomy, and radiation safety
- Experience using PACS and electronic medical record (EMR) systems
- Excellent communication, critical thinking, and patient care skills
- Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with the healthcare team
- Commitment to providing accurate imaging and exceptional patient care
