Job Title: Travel Sonographer / Ultrasound Tech - Vascular & General (Day Shift)
Job Description: Join the dynamic imaging team at Allen Hospital in Waterloo, IA! We are urgently seeking a highly skilled Vascular/General Sonographer for an immediate travel assignment. In this fast-paced role, you will perform an average of 15 scans per day across a diverse patient population, utilizing your expertise in a wide variety of ultrasound modalities.
Contract Details:
- Target Start Date: 08/03/2026
- Shift: Day Shift, 5x8s (Monday – Friday, variable start times between 6:00 AM and 10:00 AM).
- Scheduling: Required to work 1-2 major summer holidays (Memorial Day, 4th of July, Labor Day) if the unit remains open.
Requirements:
- Clinical Expertise: Must be highly proficient in vascular, general, and OB/GYN imaging (including venous/arterial dopplers, ABIs, aorta/carotid dopplers, and 1st-3rd trimester non-high-risk OB). Experience assisting with aspirations and paracentesis/thoracentesis is highly preferred.
- Systems: Previous experience with EPIC charting is required.
- Radius & Eligibility Policy: The full travel rate requires candidates to live outside a 50-mile radius (a local rate is available). Former permanent or PRN staff of UnityPoint Health (UPH) must have a 12-month separation before applying.
