Job Title: Ultrasound Tech Profession: Radiology / Cardiology Specialty: Ultrasound Tech - General Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Day 5x8-Hour Hours per Shift: 8 hours Experience: Minimum 1 year experience required License: Pending state license accepted Certifications: BLS, RDMS-AB, RDMS-OB, RVT Must-Have: - Work setting experience in outpatient, inpatient, ER, teaching hospital, and community hospital - General skills experience with PACS, portables, and biopsies - Equipment/scanner experience with Philips - Documentation systems experience with Epic Description: Ultrasound Technologist position available. The position primarily works during the day but may require occasional overnight or weekend shifts. Possible shift times include 7:30 AM - 3:30 PM, 8:30 AM - 4:30 PM, 7:00 AM - 7:00 PM, 11:00 AM - 11:00 PM, and 6:00 PM - 6:00 AM. Daily caseload for each tech ranges from 40 to 70 exams. The facility has a total of 7 rooms. Candidates with 1 year of experience are preferred, but first-timers are also accepted. Weekend work is required as needed based on department needs. On-call work is not required. Floating within the scope of practice to meet facility needs is required. There is no floating to sister facilities. Block scheduling is not accommodated. Local candidates are accepted. Minimum request time off is ideally no more than 5 days. Special requirements include experience with the following: - 1st, 2nd, and 3rd trimester scanning - Abdominal aorta - Adult and pediatric scans - Biopsies and ultrasound-guided procedures - Various organ assessments such as breast, carotid, gallbladder, heart, liver, and others. The facility type is acute care with a teaching focus. Total staffed beds are 317. Clinical support includes teams such as IV, physical therapy, respiratory services, social services, and more. Patient demographics include adults, pediatrics, and geriatrics. Effective communication and collaboration within interdisciplinary teams are essential. This position offers the opportunity to deliver high-quality patient care in a dynamic environment. Candidates must be prepared for a wide range of ultrasonographic procedures.
