Typical hiring profile Skill Set Most recruited for:
At least one year of experience with a wide array of exposure to various types of ultrasound, a good track record with past employers, and positive references
Must have:
candidates without these skills will not be considered for the role.
Knowledge of anatomy and pathology with ability to recognize normal from abnormal findings
Basic scanning skills with good understanding of sonographic physics and techniques
Clinical experience in a hospital or acute care setting- with some exposure to general, vascular, & OB-GYN sonography
Preferred or nice to have:
candidates with these skills will be considered first.
Additional certifications: RVT, OB-GYN, AB
Experience in the OR and with ultrasound procedures
1 year of experience beyond education
List typical procedures performed on unit(s):
Thoras, paras, FNAs (thyroids, parotids, lymph nodes), soft tissue masses or lymph node BXs, liver & renal BXs, drainages (abscesses, cysts, hematomas, gallbladders), thrombin injections, etc
OR- breast needle placements, carotids, D&Cs, prostate BXs

Weekends covered by weekend position staff. No call- call tree implemented for permanent FT staff for critical staffing needs
