Job Title: MFM Sonographer Profession: Ultrasound Tech/Sonographer Specialty: Radiology Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Day Shift Hours per Shift: 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM (Monday - Thursday), 8:00 AM - 12:00 PM (Friday) Experience: Minimum 1 year License: ARDMS, BLS Certifications: OB-GYN Registry, Fetal Echo Experience Must-Have: MFM ultrasound experience with OB-GYN registry 2-3 years high-risk OB experience Ability to proficiently image fetal cardiac structures Description: This position is for a contract MFM Sonographer in a specialized fetal testing center. The selected candidate will work Monday through Thursday from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM and Friday from 8:00 AM to 12:00 PM. This role does not require call duties. Candidates must have MFM ultrasound experience and an OB-GYN registry. Fetal echo experience or the ability to proficiently image fetal cardiac structures is also required. The unit comprises six exam rooms and operates with a staff of 11 members. Staff consists of RNs, sonographers, patient care technicians, and office staff. Common procedures performed include fetal anatomy assessments, biophysical profiles, Doppler studies, fetal echocardiograms, first-trimester nuchal screenings, amniocentesis, and chorionic villus sampling. The ideal candidate is someone who works well in a group setting and can adapt to the workflow. Dress code requirements include wearing olive green scrub tops with black scrub bottoms. New equipment and technology are utilized in this unit, contributing to an engaging work environment. This position offers the potential for permanent opportunities. Candidates without the required skills will not be considered for the role. Preferred skills include having a fetal echo registry.
