This temporary direct Echo Technologist opportunity is based in Jupiter, Florida, a desirable coastal town in northern Palm Beach County known for its pristine beaches, scenic waterways, and relaxed yet refined lifestyle. Jupiter offers easy access to the Atlantic Ocean, the Intracoastal Waterway, and the Loxahatchee River, making it ideal for boating, kayaking, paddleboarding, fishing, and other outdoor activities. The town features beautiful parks, nature preserves, and walking trails, as well as highly rated dining, shopping, and cultural events. With its blend of small-town charm and proximity to larger urban centers like West Palm Beach and the greater South Florida region, Jupiter provides an appealing setting for both work and leisure. The assignment is a 13-week contract in a modern clinical environment with a strong focus on patient-centered cardiovascular care. The facility utilizes contemporary imaging technology and digital systems to support efficient, high-quality echocardiographic services. You will join a collaborative team of sonographers, cardiologists, nurses, and support staff who share a commitment to accurate diagnostics, clear communication, and excellent patient experiences. In this role, you will primarily perform adult transthoracic echocardiograms, including 2D, M-Mode, Doppler, and color flow imaging, in both inpatient and outpatient settings. Depending on department needs, you may also assist with stress echocardiograms and other specialized studies within your scope of training and experience. Typical responsibilities include obtaining complete and diagnostic-quality studies, optimizing image acquisition, documenting findings within the EMR, and working closely with interpreting physicians to ensure timely reporting. Your typical day will involve managing a varied caseload, which may include routine studies, follow-up examinations, and complex cardiac cases. You will be expected to follow established protocols, maintain a high level of accuracy and attention to detail, and provide clear, compassionate communication to patients and their families. The department environment is fast-paced but supportive, with emphasis on teamwork, shared problem-solving, and continuous learning. The schedule for this assignment is 4x10-hour shifts each week, with an expectation of 40 hours per week. You will rotate weekends and holidays as part of the department coverage schedule and participate in some on-call duties as needed. This structure allows for longer stretches of time off during the week to explore Jupiter’s beaches, coastal trails, local restaurants, and nearby attractions in Palm Beach County and beyond. This position is well-suited for an experienced, certified Echo Technologist who is comfortable stepping into a dynamic cardiovascular imaging environment and contributing immediately.
