Job Title: Ultrasound Technician Profession: Radiology / Cardiology Specialty: General Ultrasound Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night 3x12-Hour Hours per Shift: 12 hours (17:00 - 05:30) Experience: Minimum of 2 years License: Active compact license required Certifications: ACLS, BLS, PALS, NIHSS, ARDMS, ARDMS AB, ARDMS OB/GYN preferred Must-Have: Trach Care Cardioversion/defibrillation experience Breathing treatments Feeding tube management PICC line management Rapid infuser experience Description: Candidates with experience as a traveling ultrasound technician are encouraged to apply. A preference will be given to those who have worked in freestanding emergency departments. The department sees approximately 15% pediatric patients. Providers will engage in duties such as sedation for procedures and managing vascular device access. Technicians will need to manage equipment including syringe pumps and triple lumen catheters. Experience with abdominal ultrasound and fetal anatomical surveys is critical. Technicians will interact with a variety of patient age groups from infants to geriatrics. The department environment is fast-paced, requiring excellent communication skills among team members. Candidates should be prepared for a flexible schedule and the possibility of on-call duties. Proof of experience and references covering the last three years will be necessary during the compliance process. Compliance with patient safety protocols and isolation precautions is essential. Technicians will practice within a supportive interdisciplinary team.
