About this Position Position/Specialty: General Ultrasound Tech at Main Hospital Daily Caseload per tech: Varies Shift: Will work 3x12s, Monday-Thursday 8p-630a with holiday rotation Is on-call REQ? What is the req? No call Will clinician float within scope meet facility needs? Yes, will float between Main and ART Preferred/Required Years of experience REQ: 1 year Experience REQ: must be proficient in abdominal doppler imaging First-timers accepted: NO - Must have completed a prior assignment ** Will consider first timer IF they come from LARGE TEACHING FACILITY.** Certs REQ: BLS and ARDMS or ARRT (S) certification SC State ultrasound licensure is not required. Minimum Training and Education Required: Graduated from an accredited school of Diagnostic Medical Sonography. Radiation Badge Required? No Misc. Radius rule? Yes, 60 miles. Are locals accepted? Yes, on a case-by-case basis at 10% less than the posted bill rate RTO Restrictions: All RTO must be included at time of submission. Approval will be based on facility's needs. Guaranteed Hours: Facility allowed to call off 1 shift per 2 weeks Hospital Highlights Type of Facility: Teaching Hospital Magnet / Teaching / Level Trauma: Magnet, Teaching and Level 1 Trauma Total Staffed Beds: 865 Scrub Color: Scrub colors are teal tops and black bottoms Charting: Epic Parking Cost: Nights and weekends only. Onetime payment of $20 for a parking pass. **Travelers should be aware that during hurricane season, all employees and contractors may be assigned to emergency response teams. If this is a problem, please ensure travelers do not confirm a new or ext assignment during the season. Hurricane season runs from June through November each year. The peak months for hurricane activity are August and September.**
