Description
American Traveler is hiring a Telemetry RN for a night shift position requiring an active MA RN license and Epic charting experience.
Details
- Work in a hospital Telemetry unit caring for patients with critical or life-threatening illnesses
- Care for adolescent, adult, and geriatric patient populations
- Monitor and interpret cardiac rhythms and hemodynamic status
- Administer prescribed cardiac medications and telemetry-approved drips
- Assist with emergency and elective cardioversions and temporary pacemaker insertions
- Night shift schedule from 19:00-07:30
- 13-week assignment length
- May float to other units based on hospital needs, serving in a helping-hands capacity if outside skillset
- Uses Epic for charting
Requirements
- Active MA RN license required (no conditional or pending licenses accepted)
- Current BLS certification (AHA required for some locations, Red Cross accepted at others)
- Current ACLS certification (AHA required for some locations, Red Cross accepted at others)
- Ability to recognize and respond to patients in shock or with other life-threatening complications
- Ability to interact effectively with patients across a range of intellectual levels and physical abilities
Additional Information
- Provide direct care to telemetry patients including monitoring, medication administration, and assisting with cardiac procedures
- Flu vaccine required during flu season with no religious or medical exemptions allowed
- Local candidates residing within 60 miles of Boston are accepted at a reduced rate compared to standard travel rate
- Uses UKG/Kronos for timekeeping
