Contract | Nights | 3x12-Hour Shifts (7:00 PM – 7:30 AM) | Every 3rd Weekend Required | Holidays as Needed | Onsite
Key Responsibilities
- Provide specialized inpatient rehabilitation nursing care for patients with diagnoses including CVA, TBI, ABI, spinal cord injury, neurological conditions, and generalized debility
- Perform medication reconciliation, interpretation of laboratory results, and comprehensive patient health assessments including vital signs monitoring
- Execute wound care procedures including dressing changes and setup of aseptic and sterile procedure trays
- Collect and label specimens including capillary, throat, urine (UA clean catch), and perform phlebotomy
- Manage telephone triage and pharmacy calls including patient refill requests
- Float between campuses within the health system as needed
Required Qualifications
- Active Registered Nurse license in hand at time of submission
- Minimum of 1 year of acute care nursing experience; first-time travelers will not be considered
- Current BLS certification
- Proficiency with EPIC EMR
- Must pass a compliance EKG exam (2 attempts allowed); required for all RNs regardless of specialty
- No open background check cases permitted; current driver's license required
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Experience in acute care rehabilitation settings
- Familiarity with post-stroke, post-aneurysm, and post-operative surgical patient populations
