Description

American Traveler is hiring a Med/Surg Oncology RN for a night shift position requiring chemotherapy certification and 1 year of specialty experience.

Details

  • Hospital-based Med/Surg 2 unit specializing in oncology care
  • Night shift, 12-hour shifts, 3 days per week (36 hours/week)
  • May be required to float to other departments within scope of competency and qualifications
  • May be required to be placed on-call during a regularly scheduled shift
  • Epic EMR used for charting

Requirements

  • Active RN license (Standard or Compact/CO) required
  • BLS certification through the American Heart Association required, must not expire prior to start date
  • Chemotherapy certification required
  • ACLS/NRP/PALS certification required as appropriate for unit or service
  • Minimum 1 year of experience in Med/Surg Oncology specialty required
  • ASN required, BSN preferred
  • Epic charting experience required

Additional Information

  • Perform independent nursing functions and delegated medical functions in accordance with state Board of Nursing standards
  • Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient nursing care
  • Provide health teaching and counseling to patients
  • Deliver therapy and treatment directly or through consultation, delegation, supervision, or teaching of others
  • Document care in accordance with hospital and regulatory guidelines
  • Review and monitor therapy and treatment plans
  • Refer patients for further evaluation or treatment as needed
  • Date of birth and last four digits of SSN required for consideration
  • Background check and drug screen required, with candidates expected to report to the lab for drug screening within 24 hours of assignment commitment
  • Permanent staff must be separated from any Intermountain facility for at least one year before being eligible for a travel assignment
