Job Summary:
Telemetry Nurse in Alexandria, Louisiana the organization is seeking a competent RN to provide critical care for patients with cardiac monitoring needs. The position involves working night shifts, delivering both routine and complex nursing care, and demonstrating clinical independence and awareness. The role offers an opportunity to develop skills in a dynamic setting, with a focus on patient safety and comprehensive care delivery.

Job Details:

  • Schedule: Nights, 7:00 PM 7:00 AM, 36 hours per week guarantee, start date 08/24/2026.
  • Required Qualifications: Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing preferred, BLS certification from AHA required, ACLS certification from AHA required, RN license in Louisiana or a compact license, one year of experience in a related nursing specialty preferred, current license in the state of employment.
  • Preferred Qualifications: Experience in telemetry or cardiac monitoring settings is preferred.
  • Float: Required to float when needed.
  • Additional Information: The selected candidate will provide nursing care for patients with conditions such as MI, CHF, arrhythmias, PVD, and some med surg overflow. The unit maintains a nurse-to-patient ratio of 5:1, occasionally 6:1. Newly hired experienced RNs must attend orientation within the first 30 days and complete competency validations, including med surg-specific training. All annual competency verification requirements must be met.
  • Position Requirements: All newly hired experienced RNs must participate in a new nurses orientation and precepting process within the first 30 days of hire, with competency documentation. All newly licensed RNs may participate in a residency program or other orientation protocols.
