Heart & Vascular Unit RN Contract Options: 13 or 26 weeks Hours: 36 or 48 hours/week Shift: Nights (7:00 PM – 7:30 AM) Local Rule: No local candidates (must live 100+ miles away) Requirements Active or pending Nebraska RN License BLS & ACLS required NIH & CPI preferred Minimum 2 years of experience in a large urban hospital Epic experience required Experience managing IV drips First-time travelers not accepted (exception: 2 years at a Level I Academic Medical Center) Unit Details 49-bed Heart & Vascular Unit Care for stable Heart & Lung Transplants, LVAD, and cardiovascular medical/surgical patients Patient Ratios: Days: 1:5 Nights: 1:6 (occasionally 1:7) Floating Travelers float first Must float within scope to multiple Med Surg, Neuro, Trauma, Observation, and Bellevue campus units as needed Weekend & Holiday Requirements 4 weekend shifts every 4-week schedule Must work 2 of 3 major winter holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas, New Year's)
