The Telemetry Nurse will join a fast-paced unit that manages a high volume of patient admissions and discharges, ensuring quality care and patient safety.

Job Details:

  • Position: Telemetry Nurse
  • Location: Parkersburg, West Virginia
  • Schedule: 12-hour night shifts, with minimum of 36 hours per week
  • Start Date: 08/17/2026
  • Required Qualifications: Certifications in BLS & ACLS from the American Heart Association; minimum of 2 years of relevant nursing experience; must be licensed to submit; willing to wait for license.
  • Patient Population: Post heart cath procedures, CHF, COPD, arrhythmias, patients on Heparin drips, and other cardiac monitoring cases.
  • Unit Details: 43-bed cardiac telemetry unit with semi-private and private rooms; patient ratios averaging 1:5, flexible up to 1:6; RN's required to read EKG strips and manage titratable drips (Heparin, Lasix, Bumex).
  • Duties: Conducting assessments, managing EKGs, reading strips, administering medications, and supporting patient care protocols.
  • Float Requirements: Float rotation may include coverage in ICU and Stepdown units within skillset; floated assignments will be within scope.
  • Dress Code: Royal Blue scrubs; scrub jackets permitted but no hoodies or sweat-jackets.
  • Orientation: One day of computer training followed by shadowing with a preceptor; on-going support provided.
  • Additional Notes: Collaborative team environment, fast-paced with approximately 8-12 discharges and admissions daily, with opportunities for new grads and experienced nurses alike.
