Job Summary:
A Telemetry Registered Nurse position is available in Martinsburg, West Virginia. This role involves providing specialized nursing care within a high-acuity telemedicine unit, with a focus on monitoring and managing cardiac and critically ill patients. The position offers an engaging opportunity to work on a 12-hour night shift schedule, supporting patient recovery and safety.
Job Details:
- Schedule: 12-hour night shifts, a minimum of 36 hours per week, with rotating weekends and holidays.
- Required Qualifications: Valid RN license; BLS (American Heart Association) certification; ACLS (American Heart Association) certification; at least 2 years of relevant clinical experience; ability to work nights; West Virginia residence or willingness to relocate.
- Preferred Qualifications: Experience in telemetry or critical care settings; knowledge of EPIC electronic charting system; ability to float to ICU or other units if needed; previous bedside nursing experience in acute care.
- Additional Information: The unit currently comprises two floors with mixed private and semi-private rooms, serving patients with elevated troponin levels and various post-surgical and cardiac conditions. Nurses will be responsible for reading cardiac strips every 4 hours and documenting findings directly into the electronic health record. The role includes opportunities for charge and precepting duties, with an emphasis on team collaboration and adherence to clinical protocols. Shift planning and scheduling are managed through Kronos, with at least two weeks' notice required for schedule requests.
