Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced travel RN for a Telemetry Float position in Worcester, MA, requiring prior travel experience, Epic proficiency, and a current MA RN license.
Details
- Float position primarily based in the North Pavilion, with potential floating to adult telemetry floors on the University Campus
- Telemetry patient population including cardiac monitoring, dysrhythmia interpretation and management, and a wide range of medical-surgical cases
- Night shift schedule (4x12, 19:00–07:00) with potential transition to days (07:00–19:30) after approximately one month based on unit needs
- Every other weekend (EOW) and every other holiday (EOH) required
- Epic EMR experience required
- 13-week contract
Requirements
- Active MA RN license currently in hand required for consideration
- Minimum 3 years of RN experience required
- Prior travel nursing experience required
- BLS required; ACLS preferred
- Epic EMR experience required
- Previous charge nurse experience preferred
- Two professional references required for consideration, one of which must be from a Nurse Manager or higher
- Candidates must reside more than 200 miles from the facility to qualify for the travel pay rate
Additional Information
- Two pass/fail exams are administered during orientation: a telemetry/EKG exam and a medication exam — each allows only one attempt; failure results in immediate contract cancellation
- Study materials are provided during the compliance process and facility-designated instruction (FDI) periods to help prepare for orientation exams
- This is a union facility — no special scheduling accommodations can be made; candidates must be available to work all 7 days of the week
- Local candidates are accepted
- RTO of up to 14 days may be submitted for review; no RTO is permitted during the first week of the assignment
- Candidates with prior employment at this health system must have a 12-month separation before being eligible
- Nurses with any priors on their RN license are not eligible for this position
