Seven Healthcare are seeking a dedicated Part Time Patient Care Technician specializing in the Emergency Department in Penn Yan, NY. As a Travel assignment, this role provides a dynamic and fast-paced environment where you will support clinical operations and patient care under the supervision of a Registered Nurse.

Key Responsibilities of the Patient Care Technician - Emergency Department
  • Perform patient care activities and clerical functions under RN supervision
  • Support clinical operations of the Emergency Department
  • Perform phlebotomy, EKGs, patient transport, hygiene care, and other procedures
  • Accurately input radiology, laboratory, and EKG orders
  • Manage communication within the department
  • Monitor and report changes in patient condition promptly
  • Ensure safe patient handling and mobility
  • Assist with wound care, splinting, and sterile dressing setup

Requirements of the Patient Care Technician - Emergency Department
  • High school diploma or GED
  • Current BLS certification (AHA or RQI)
  • One year of acute care experience in a hospital setting
  • Computer literacy required
