Job Title: Interventional Radiology Technician Profession: Radiology / Cardiology Specialty: Interventional Radiology Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Day 4x10-Hour Hours per Shift: 10 hours Experience: Minimum of 2 years License: CA License required Certifications: ACLS, BLS, Fluoro Permit Must-Have: - Previous experience in Interventional Radiology - Ability to work every third weekend - On-call availability as needed Description: Follows clearly defined procedures to provide support to cardiologists, radiologists, and registered nurses for the execution and technical analysis of procedures performed in the Interventional Radiology Lab. Integrates education, technical competence, and patient interaction skills to execute safe and precise treatment under the supervision of a cardiologist. Gains confidence and cooperation from the patient, their family/support group, and other healthcare providers through competent patient assessment, attentive monitoring, and effective communication. Adheres to all local/state/federal regulations, codes, policies, and procedures to ensure privacy and safety to help deliver optimal patient care. May be responsible for mentoring and training students. Experience with a variety of procedures, including but not limited to, angiography, stent placements, embolizations, and vascular interventions is required. Knowledge of patient care protocols and safety measures is essential.
